Hello
My name is Jeanette Crumpton, and I’m a committed early intervention and specialist teacher, living in Cairns, Queensland.
I am a qualified and registered teacher with a Bachelor of Education (Primary), a Circle of Security Program facilitator and Berry Street Education Model trained.
With 20 years of teaching experience in pre-school, primary and secondary settings, I have a wealth of knowledge across both State and independent sectors. This includes a diverse background in disability support and advocacy including advisory teaching positions in the areas of physical impairment, hearing impairment, Autism support and communication.
I hold a working with children card (Blue Card) and NDIS working screening clearance (Yellow Card).

Our Values
Empowerment
Supporting individuals and families to build confidence, independence and skills to achieve their goals
Compassion
Providing services with care, understanding, and a commitment to each individual’s unique needs and potential
Connection
Promoting a sense of belonging and ensuring equitable opportunities for all participants in their community
Lived Experience
With 12 years of lived experience in the Cairns and broader Queensland disability community, I have a continuing interest and specialised knowledge across the systems and support processes that exist for families with children with disabilities. This includes a broader perspective on the available medical, educational and community supports in place and how they all fit together.

Local Knowledge
For over 10 years now, I have been a part of a passionate community of people in FNQ who want to build inclusive practices through participation in activities and events. This has been through fundraising, creating awareness, advocacy and building local capacity – so that all children can feel they belong and be a part of their community.
I am in a position where I feel that my knowledge and understanding about the supports that have wrapped around our family and given us so much hope, need to be shared. I want to provide a service that is positive and supportive while understanding that working in this space is never straight forward or easy.
